The event was organised by New Forest Liberal Democrats in aid of our General Election campaigns in New Forest West and New Forest East constituencies.

More than a hundred people packed into Lyndhurst Community Centre to hear Dan speak on a range of subjects, from Inca forms of communication to the idea of political evolution, and answer questions from the audience.

Refreshments were also served, including sandwiches, rolls, and cake alongside tea and coffee.

Dan was introduced by Liberal Democrat candidate for New Forest West, Jack Davies, and Liberal Democrat candidate for New Forest East, Caroline Rackham, thanked Dan for taking the time to come and speak to us.

Dan urged everyone in the New Forest to vote Lib Dem to protect democracy, reposition Britain on the world stage, bring some much-needed fresh blood and ideas to Parliament, and take the carbon transition seriously.

Speaking after the event, Jack Davies, said:

"The event was a resounding success. Not only did we provide an enjoyable and informative evening for more than a hundred people, Dan was a really knowledgeable speaker on so many different subjects.

"The message from this evening was clear. The momentum lies with the Liberal Democrats here in the New Forest and we are fighting to win both New Forest constituencies at the General Election. So please do come and join our team fighting for a fresh start."
