Affordable Housing

We’re facing a real housing crisis that the Conservative government has failed to tackle. For too many young people and families, getting on the housing ladder feels impossible.

Jack cares deeply about housing. He, like so many people who have grown up in the New Forest, has struggled to find somewhere affordable and still lives in the family home.

As a New Forest District Councillor, Jack has fought for funding to build new affordable homes here in the New Forest for young people and families. As an MP, Jack will take that fight to Parliament, making local people's voices heard.

Jack's experience in local government has shown him that simply building large amounts of housing won't solve the problem. There needs to be wholesale reform of planning laws to put power in the hands of local communities - not developers.

New Forest West needs an MP who understands the problem and is determined to deliver affordable homes in the New Forest.
