Caroline Rackham, a local Town Councillor and Community figure, has been nominated as the Official Liberal Democrat candidate for Totton North and Netley Marsh in its upcoming election to elect a new Councillor to represent it on Hampshire County Council on May 4th.

“It is an honour and a pleasure to welcome Caroline Rackham to Team 2017,” said Jack Davies, Chair of New Forest Liberal Democrats. “Caroline is an incredibly hard-working local Councillor on Totton and Eling Town Council. Caroline will be a champion for Real Change in Totton North and Netley Marsh, and a strong voice for local residents.”

Caroline is a long-time resident of Eling. Four generations of her family have lived in Totton and she works hard as a Town Councillor with a particular interest in helping to solve some of the pollution issues affecting Totton.

Caroline is best known as the ‘Lantern Lady’ and is part of the small team running the Totton and Eling Lantern Procession, now in it’s fifth year.
