Lib Dem candidate for the Furzedown by-election, Mark Clark, will square up against a Conservative candidate to decide which party holds power in Hythe and Dibden.
Hythe and Dibden Parish Council is currently held by the parish’s Lib Dem councillors but if the Tories win in Furzedown they will seize control.
No other party is fighting the Furzedown by-election so only Mark Clark or the Tories can win!
The Liberal Democrats have run the council successfully for many years and have been key in keeping council tax down and enduring vital services continue. The Conservatives on the council tried to raise council tax but the Lib Dems stopped them.
